उल्टी बहती हुगली पर ढलता सूरज
काले कोयले पर भभक्ता लाल रंग
सूखी लकड़ी, मिट्टी-तेल की खुसबू !

 क़लम से टपकता पसीना
कमीज़ से आती 
ताज़ी उखरी घास की खुसबू !
हाथ बढ़ाकर पकर लूँ इनको
वह पटसन की शाम पुरानी !
