India's Loss of Olympic Boxing Gold

India’s Loss of Olympic Boxing Gold More often than rare, childhood enmity blossoms into a wonderful and ever lasting relationship with age. Devdas and Paro who could not stand each other in their childhood grew up to be immortal lovers and so many other fairytales. With the trouble picker “Dipu” and the bully “Sonu” this was not to be. This was a different script and yet again “ Truth is always stranger than fiction. ” Dipu could have been best described in his childhood as a trouble loving monster that was more than eager to pick up a fight at the drop of a hat and teach the big bad world a lesson befitting enough. Sonu, on the other hand was a bully but with a good heart somewhere hidden in the huge chunk of fat in his overweight but handsome frame. While both these bitter archrivals were ever sharing the same space be it on the playground, class room or the aluminium can that Gobindo’Da used to drive, many in NJMC Khardah would be seriously worried. Belgium to the Land of “Chalta Hai”

Aboard an international flight but brewed locally in my motherland words “Welcome to India” were bugled out loud. The touch screen panel of the passenger entertainment monitor would respond only at it's own discretion. And if you report to the cabin crew the response is the “chalta hai” attitude. Please do not be surprised if you see a couple of the cabin crew trying to profess team camaraderie by some physical proximity during conversation in the flight. At the Mumbai International Airport the customs junior field officer/steward notices a duty free bottle of champagne in your hands and that’s indication clear enough for him to extend a helping hand that if there is something difficult that needs to be cleared through the customs it can be managed " Saheb bolne ka ”. During the security check to board the domestic flight to India you must not be surprised when the CRPF officer chuckles at a number of European coins in your wallet and asks questions no way related

I want to meet the CEO

I WANT TO MEET THE CEO Today is July 22 nd 2008, not the brightest of day no doubt ’m still excited; Am no more a trainee and therefore no more to be bullied; But am a developer and have made my presence felt; Not because I’m a genius to code but rather I’m the extended trainee support; “Our client”, my PL claims, “ is the European retailer king”; Never know yet why do they need high end engineers to sell their vegetables green, My good old Ramdin in my ancestral village; Sells it without so fuss and sells it so well; No need of “OMBUDS, on call support”; No need of “SWA” no “Development Bundle” though; He makes good profit, his wife loves him so much; Still one needs engineers for the grocery store. It’s a couple of months now since July 22 nd 2008; The  PL says he can see in me an engineer good, And ’m gonna shoulder great responsibilities ahead; The CEO is supposed to visit the office today and a lot of action on all the floors; The manager
